SPRING 2017

The 1960s were social and politically turbulent time. Issues of space exploration, race, gender and war created a new kind of eccentricity. In the current age those same issues seem to be repeating in all aspects. The need for assurance and an outlet of genuine expression is ever present.
The 60s also serves as a key point in the fashion industry where fast fashion and couture came to a meeting point. With couture and ready to wear collections by Courrèges and Yves Saint Laurent., the two world met and worked simultaneously as a way to bring the quality of couture to the masses. Now the industry has spun out of control, but there is still hope in the boldness of quality. Haip designs incorporates the integrity of the individual’s eccentric style with an emphasis on quality to promote longevity.
